WHO IS RAY?
Started file tuning my family's skis in 1976. In 1993 I retired from Polaroid Corp. where I worked as an engineer and manager in camera development and manufacturing. The following winter I worked as a ski instructor. Skiing almost every day, I spent a lot of time file tuning my skis. I have a Masters Degree in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
WHY DID I INVENT THE RAY'S WAY PROCESS?
I HATED FILE TUNING!! File tuning took too long , too much effort, removed too much material and produced un-professional looking results. Being retired, I now had the time and incentive to experiment with alternatives to file tuning that would make tuning easier, more fun, more satisfying and more effective.
