Airline Jet2.com says it has responded to strong demand from skiers and snowboarders looking to get back to the slopes, by adding more Easter ski flights to Geneva from Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and London Stansted airports.
The announcement come following the French decision to reopen its borders last week and as the Swiss Government today confirms that pre-arrival testing is no longer required for vaccinated customers.
“The recent relaxation of travel restrictions has seen snow sports fans rushing to make up for lost time. …customers have been quick to get their piste of the action booked in, with bookings up across all of the eight ski destinations that Jet2.com operates to (Chambery, Geneva, Grenoble, Innsbruck, Lyon, Salzburg, Turin and Barcelona (Andorra),” a company spokesperson said.
The additional Geneva flight dates are from Birmingham (Saturday 2nd and 9th April), Glasgow (Saturday 2nd and 9th April), Leeds Bradford (Saturday 16th April), Manchester (Saturday 2nd and 23rd April) and London Stansted (Sundays from 27th March to 10th April and Saturday 2nd and 16th April).
Jet2 also says this weekend sees them restarting flights to Lyon, Chambery and Grenoble following the reopening of the French border.
As an added incentive to travel Jet2 say they are offering 10% off all ski flights too for this winter or for Winter 22/23 on bookings made by 7th February 2021.
