Australia’s Mt Buller ski area is offering snow fun at Christmas in the southern hemisphere where its now summertime and daytime temperatures are forecast to be in the low 20s Celsius.
The resort’s snowmaking crew have created a huge pile of snow using the resort’s SnowFactory all-weather snowmaking machine and will be running a Snow in Summer festival between Christmas and New Year.
Mr Buller’s Snow Play area has been created at the bottom of the resort’s main Bourke Street Ski Run.
Kids activities as well as a live DJ and snow play activities will be on offer daily from 3pm to 7pm (8pm on NYE) from Monday December 27th – December 31st.
A Mt Buller statement say their snow in summer festival will provide,
“A white Christmas for northern hemisphere feels without the jetlag or PCR test. Revel in snow play and après this Christmas week. Our entertainers will provide some super exciting activities in the snow, plus a spot for general snow play and DJ’s pumping the holiday tunes.”
